STORY BEHIND THE ARTWORK
Working from a photograph Susannah took of a heron while running along Richmond Riverside one morning. Her tonal pencil drawing was digitally printed onto cotton/silk fabric. Using a combination of silky, matt and metallic fine machine embroidery threads, she has hand-stitched colourful detail and texture.
